St. Louis Queer+ Support Helpline: A Conversation with Luka Cai and Riott Kochman

6:30–7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 23

In honor and celebration of Pride Month 2021, join WashU alumni Luka Cai, AB ’20, MSW ’22, and Riott Kochman, MSW ’20, for a conversation spotlighting the St. Louis Queer+ Support Helpline (SQSH). Formally launched during Cai’s senior year and with support from the WUpan Leadership Development Fund, SQSH is an LGBTQIA+ peer support resource serving the St. Louis region.

Managing Life in the Next Stage of the Pandemic: Cultivating Resilience for Transitions

Early in the pandemic, many people felt frozen in place, sheltering at home as much as possible. As safety restrictions loosen and individuals process the implications of vaccination, these positive changes introduce new uncertainties, which can create stress and anxiety. This lecture will discuss possible sources of stress associated with the current climate and specific resilience skills for enhancing positivity during times of transition.
