The Black Rep presents ‘Fireflies’

Friday, Feb. 11– Sunday, Feb. 27

The St. Louis Black Repertory Company continues its 45th Anniversary Season with “Fireflies,” by Donja R. Love. Directed by Atlanta-based actor and director Andrea Frye, and featuring Zahria Moore and Eric Conners, the courageous work takes an intimate approach to exploring personal aspects of the civil rights movement. The play is at the A.E. Hotchner Studio Theatre on WashU’s Danforth Campus.

Cooks, author of Exhibiting Blackness and an associate professor at the University of California, Irvine. Invited guest speakers include Danielle Brown, reporter with the St. Louis American; Adrienne Davis, the William M. Van Cleve Professor of Law; Raven Maragh-Lloyd, assistant professor of critical Black digital media studies; and Christopher Tinson, associate professor of African American Studies at Saint Louis University. This event is free with registration.
